I,m looking into buying a Cannon 400MM f5.6 , and would like your views on extenders for this lens . I have read lots of reports of the degradation using extenders causes to your picture quality, shutter speed etc but would like some advice from real users not manufacturers.
I have considered either the Cannon 1.4extII and the Cannon 2x , my main desire is extra focal distance.
